This is a powder extravaganza for back country skiers. Get your ski legs at Furano and Kamui with maximum vertical on these powdery uncrowded slopes. Nearby nordic trails are a short walk from the lodge. Next is the unique Asahi Dake with lift access to the untracked, unroped powder that dreams are made of. You can also tour high above the tree line or cruise the superb tracks at your door step that are cut for skating and classical.
Then we are off to the Tokachi mountains, the back country powder mecca. Here you earn your turns as you climb and ski knee, waist and chin deep powder amidst pristine forests of Silver Birch and Hokkaido Red Pine. If that is not enough, of an evening you can relax in a hot spring bath before a sumptuous multi course meal. Truly powder heaven.
